Dr. Michael Blasek

Dr. Michael Blasek has been offering exceptional dental care to the families of Maple Glen for more than twenty years. In order to meet the demands of our growing practice, Dr. Blasek moved Aesthetic Dentistry to our current location in 2001, quadrupling the size of our facility to better accommodate our patients and incorporate the latest advancements in dental technology. We have recently acquired a CEREC® 3-D machine for our office to “computer generate” custom all-porcelain crowns in just one visit.

A graduate from the University of Pittsburgh in 1980, Dr. Blasek received B.S. degrees in both chemistry and psychology. He continued his education at the Temple University School of Dentistry, graduating in 1984.

Dr. Blasek has lived in the Maple Glen area ever since getting married in 1987. During his free time, you can most likely find him on a soccer field or baseball diamond, coaching children to excel in sports.

Dr. Paul Laurito

Dr. Paul Laurito has been practicing in the Philadelphia and Maple Glen area for more than twenty years. Originally from the Erie area, Dr, Laurito earned his bachelor’s degree from Mercyhurst College. While working towards a master’s degree in biology at James Madison University, he applied to and was accepted at Temple University’s School of Dentistry. After earning a Doctoral of Dental Surgery from Temple University, he began practicing dentistry in Philadelphia.

Dr. Laurito has been working with Dr. Blasek, a fellow classmate from Temple University, since 1998. Along with Dr. Blasek, he has traveled to the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Studies in Cosmetic Dentistry to further his dental education.

Dr. Laurito enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters, golfing and traveling.

"When I first came to see Dr. Blasek my gums and teeth were in really bad shape – I had gum disease which was causing my teeth to actually fall out. For years I had gone to various dentists and all the procedures done were just temporary "band-aids" to individual teeth – to stop the pain, fill the cavity, etc., but nothing was ever done to repair and fix my whole mouth. After my initial examination, Dr. Blasek came up with a plan for my whole mouth. I was very anxious and anticipated a great deal of pain. During the actual procedures at the office, I was pain-free and even after the appointments any residual pain or discomfort was under control. First, the dental hygienist thoroughly cleaned my gums and teeth and taught me how to keep them healthy with daily care at home. Then, Dr. Blasek got rid of all the decay, saved the teeth he could and came up with a plan to make my mouth beautiful. I used to be so self-conscious of how bad my teeth looked – to the point where I had to cover my mouth if I laughed and smile with my mouth closed – I was extremely embarrassed of my appearance. I was recently talking in a meeting at work and a colleague was looking at my mouth – she said, 'Forgive me for staring but your teeth look absolutely beautiful.'
